Hours & Rates
Dreams & Discoveries is open Monday to Friday from
7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and closed on all Statutory Holidays.
The provider takes vacation time (15 working days) throughout the year, usually taking place during the summer when attendance is low. Notice of vacation time will be given at least two months in advance.
Dreams & Discoveries is also closed for Christmas Break -
between Christmas Eve Eve and New Year’s Day.
The provider is also entitled to 6 personal & wellness days per year if needed.
In times of illness, the parents will be notified as soon as possible.
The provider will attempt to find alternative care in the area when the day home is closed due to illness or vacation time, through the private day home provider association. However, it is ultimately the parent’s responsibility to
arrange alternative care.
Full-Time Care
The current fee for full-time care is $1000/month.
Part-Time Care
Part-time care is also available (three days per week) $820/month and (two days per week) $700/month.
Day Rates
When possible the drop in daily rate is $80 per day.
Additional Info
Receipts for each monthly payment will be provided upon request. The rates are based on a twenty workday per month schedule. All days above and beyond this amount are banked and put towards vacation time which on average a lots for 14 days vacation usually taken in the summer as well as five days during the Christmas break.
